Meet Caitlin

caitlin prof pic.jpg

Caitlin is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist. Caitlin has proficient skills in providing speech therapy services to patients with varying levels of medical complexity that struggle with communication and swallowing difficulties. Caitlin has taken numerous continuing education courses to build her knowledge in pediatric and infant feeding, swallowing, and language.

Caitlin’s goal is to help the pediatric and infant population improve their feeding, swallowing, and communication goals.

Caitlin has a diverse experience with children and adults with differing diagnoses developing individualized speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive treatment plans.

Caitlin recently became interested in primitive reflex integration with how it relates to speech, language, and feeding and has taken courses through RMTI (rhythmic movement training international) and Harkla.

Every child and infant is unique, so building a strong relationship is her first goal to provide effective therapy. This helps Caitlin to learn and build off of their strengths and identify areas for improvement to meet his/her needs. Nothing brings Caitlin more joy than watching a child’s language grow, seeing the child try new foods, having an infant have an efficient feed, and seeing the pride and confidence that comes with it!!

Caitlin received her bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences, with a minor in American Sign Language and certificate in Disability Studies, at the University of Iowa (Go Hawks!), and went to get her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Northern Illinois University. In her free time, Caitlin enjoys trying new restaurants and foods, traveling, baking new recipes, spending time outdoors and spending time with her husband and son.
